Penza, 11 April 2015. PenzaNews. The police have arrested a Penza resident, 27, on charges of committing an armed assault against a woman through trying to make her give away her wallet under the threat of a gun.

“A woman, 26, reported to the police and said she has been attacked by an unknown man late in the evening by the entry to an apartment building on Ostrovskovo street. He threatened her with an object that looked like a pistol and tried to steal her wallet, but failed and ran away,” the press service of the Penza police informed PenzaNews agency.

According to them, the woman also described the facial features of the culprit, which helped the police apprehend the suspect on the same street.

“He is a Penza citizen, 27, with an established criminal record. He had an airgun pistol, which was immediately seized. The officers are investigating the issue, and their results will choose the outcome of the process,” the police added.
