Penza, 3 May 2015. PenzaNews. A Penza citizen, 25, fell victim to a fraudster while trying to sell his coach online.

“The seller was called by an unknown person, who said he would like to buy the coach but needs the former to link a ‘Mobile Bank’ service to the seller’s phone account to ease the money transfer procedure, and told him a password. Following the person’s instructions, the man linked the account through an ATM, after which he found that his account now had 9,500 rubles less,” the press service of the regional Ministry of the Interior department informed PenzaNews agency.

The man knew of such fraud schemes from mass media, the department added.

“The incident is under investigation. The police are taking the measures to identify the culprits. The unknown person called the seller from a phone number registered in another city,” the press service said.
