Penza, 12 May 2015. PenzaNews. A Penza resident, born 1958, transferred 270 thousand rubles to the account of a fraudster, who introduced herself as parapsychologist, for removing an alleged bad luck hex.

“In April 2015, a woman saw a television program dedicated to parapsychology and hex removal services. She called the phone number listed on the TV screen, and left her contact number. A few days later, an unknown woman called her. She explained that she will be talking to a parapsychologist Zarina, who, in turn, said that it is necessary to transfer the money to begin the session,” the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told PenzaNews agency.

The ministry added that the victim transferred the required amount to the account of the fraudsters within four days.

“At the moment, the criminal proceedings were instituted on the fact of fraud. The police are taking steps to identify those involved in the crime,” the department explained.
