Nizhny Lomov, 16 May 2015. PenzaNews. A resident of the Torbeev area of Mordovia, 33, was detained as suspect of an MTZ-82 tractor stolen late at night from a house on Dorozhnaya street in the town of Nizhny Lomov in the Penza region.

“The police learned that the tractor was sold in Mordovia, and established the identity of the suspected culprit, a former convict. He was detained and questioned, and confessed to the crime,” the press service of the regional Ministry of the Interior department informed PenzaNews agency.

The suspect said he arrived to Nizhny Lomov specifically to steal the tractor, the officials noted.

“He broke into the cabin, started the engine using a key from another MTZ-82 tractor, and headed towards Mordovia through fields, avoiding general roads. Later on, he sold the stolen tractor,” the press service added.
