Synthetic drug batch of 24 million rubles seized in Penza region

Penza, 3 June 2015. PenzaNews. A record-breaking synthetic drug batch – 17 kilograms – was seized during an attempt to smuggle the drugs in the Penza region by the regional Federal Drug Control Service department.
“Our forces terminated an organized crime group of 14 people who were committing crimes in the Penza region and Mordovia,” Elena Samorukova, Chief Expert of Information and Public Relations Group of Federal Drug Control Service of the Russian Federation in the region, told PenzaNews agency.
The experts say the price of the seized drugs can be estimated at 24 million rubles, she added.
“The search revealed the orchestrators of the crime group had property for a total of over 13 million rubles. This property has been arrested, and the crime group members detained. The investigation of the crimes continue,” said the speaker.
