Penza, 26 June 2015. PenzaNews. A Penza businessman, 43, ended up being a victim of a fraud when he tried to buy several bicycles for cheap.

“In his complaint to the police, the man said he received an e-mail from an unknown person offering to sell him bicycles, called the provided phone number and talked to a man who introduced himself as a company manager and offered him to make an order and transfer downpayment,” the press service of the Penza region Ministry of the Interior department informed PenzaNews agency.

The buyer sent away 600,000 rubles, but did not received the order, the officials explained.

“We are investigating the case and identifying the culprits. We know that the phone number the man called is registered in another city,” the press service said.
