Penza, 25 July 2015. PenzaNews. A Penza woman, 63, fell victim to a fraudster who posed himself as a bank teller.

“The woman received a text message saying her bank card was blocked, with a phone number for additional information. She called it, and an unknown man offered the woman his assistance. Following the man’s instructions, the woman transferred 27,000 rubles to a cellphone account,” the press service of the regional Ministry of the Interior department informed PenzaNews agency on Saturday, July 25.

The woman admitted she knew of such fraud schemes, the police noted.

“An investigation is underway. The police are taking measures to identify the culprits. We found out that the person called the woman from another city,” the press service said.
