Penza, 4 August 2015. PenzaNews. A Nissan Patrol car parked behind the Penza business center “Meridian” on Suvorova street, 145A, went on fire at night into Tuesday, August 4.

According to the residents of local homes, they heard a loud clap at midnight, after which the street was lit up by flame.

Based on preliminary data, the flame quickly spread over from the motor to the interior and the roof of the car.

Its owner tried to extinguish the flames himself by pouring it with water before the fire crew arrived.

The EMERCOM, police and ER dispatches arrived to the location shortly after the incident began, and the fire was extinguished in three to five minutes, the locals informed PenzaNews agency.

The car sustained great damages, with burnt-out motor section and a part of interior, fully obliterated front glass, and a breached tire.

Nobody was injured in the fire.

The incident is currently under investigation.
