Pensioner from Bekovsky area gives 30 thousand rubles to fraudsters under “currency reform”

Penza, 13 August 2015. PenzaNews. Two fraudsters convinced a 87-year-old resident of Bekovsky area, the Penza region that a currency reform is underway and exchanged pensioner's savings in the amount of 30 thousand rubles for fake banknotes.

“The pensioner was left with 85 bookmarks with images of 1 thousand rubles and 27 bookmarks of 500 rubles,” the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal affairs told PenzaNews agency.
The ministry said that currently police are taking measures to identify those involved in committing the crime.
“Both women look 30-35 years old, 170 cm, blond shoulder-length hair. They were dressed in bright clothes. One of them was carrying a bag. Please report at 02 on the whereabouts of the wanted,” police siad.
