Penza area culture center director fined 400,000 rubles for taking bribe

Penza, 18 September 2015. PenzaNews. A director of an area culture center located in the Penza area of the Penza region was fined 400,000 rubles and received a 3-year suspended sentence for taking a bribe.
“The investigators and the court found that the director of the culture center in April 2015 received an offer from a representative of a commercial organization to sign a contract on placing advertising installations in the culture center hall. The director in question agreed on the terms that such contract would provide a monthly profit of 15,000 rubles to the institution and 10,000 rubles to the director personally,” Lyudmila Fomina, Senior Assistant of the Head of the Investigative Department of the city Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, told PenzaNews agency.
The court sentence has not entered into force yet, and can be appealed, she added.
