Penza, 23 October 2015. PenzaNews. A Penza citizen, 27, has lost 42,000 rubles to a scammer who promised him monetary compensation for being a player at an electronic stock market.

The culprit got in touch with the young man over Skype in May 2015, the press service of the regional Ministry of the Interior department informed PenzaNews agency.

“He requested credit card info to transfer the compensation. Following the anonymous person’s instructions, the young man provided him the requested data, and later on found out that money was withdrawn from his account,” they explained.

According to the press service, the police have opened a criminal case on money theft.
