“In the evening of 17 December 2015, the TV show ‘Sobytiya’ on channel ‘Express’ has shown a clip related to the death of Vasily Trapeznikov, who had been lost. The journalists, together with the so-called ‘mediums,’ made hints about the criminal reasons behind the death. Because of that, the Investigative Committee wants to officially state that the versions appearing in the media have no factual basis whatsoever and only serve to generate tension over the tragic event,” says the message published on the official website of the Investigative Committee on Friday, December 18.

According to conclusions of forensic investigators, Vasily Trapeznikov died of mechanical asphyxia through hanging, with no injuries related to other causes detected on the body, they add.

“The criminal case remains under investigation. The police will establish the full picture of the incident,” the message stresses.

In the meantime, the TV show clip broadcasted by “Express” is dedicated to the December 14 attempt by the show crew to locate the place where the businessman’s body had been found. Failing to succeed in that, they enlisted the help of a local woman Zlata Dmitruk, who, according to her own assertions, is a medium, and participated in the contest to take part in the TNT TV channel project “Battle of the Mediums.”

She said she allegedly managed to find the place where the body had been located, saying there were clues around such as an abandoned forensic investigator’s rubber glove and criminal investigation markers in the vicinity.

She expressed an opinion that Vasily Trapeznikov, already dead, had been brought into the forest in a “dark-colored off-road car” by two men, and added the information was allegedly transmitted to her by the deceased person’s phantom that is still bound to the murder scene.

Zlata Dmitruk also made suggestions that the incident was a hired kill due to the businessman’s financial problems, and added that Vasily Trapeznikov allegedly remained alive for a long time after his earlier disappearance and came to the area with his fellows to have a rest. However, according to her, the fellows decided to get rid of the businessman at an unknown point in time.

Based on the word of the alleged medium, Vasily Trapeznikov died due to lack of air in the car trunk or in a banya. She also added that her visions make hints to a house in white, a woman with dark hair who knows of the murder, and that some people saw the businessman with the murderers shortly before the tragedy yet remain afraid to tell the truth.

As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, the public learned of Vasily Trapeznikov’s disappearance on November 23. The volunteers of Liza Alert joined the search.

In early December, the man’s disappearance without a trade led the police to initiate a criminal case on suggestions of possible violation under Part 1, Art. 105 of the Criminal Code, titled “Murder.”

The investigation established that Vasily Trapeznikov before his disappearance could have left Penza in the direction of “Berezovaya Roscha” health resort or Shemysheika village by hitching a car or a regular bus.

On December 14, the body of Vasily Trapeznikov with his briefcase and personal effects was found hanged close by the country clob “Volkov” in Zasechnoe village of the Penza region. According to the regional Investigative Committee, the body of the businessman showed no signs of violent death.
