The Penza region prosecutor’s office prepares an appeal proposal to the verdictr of the Gorodische Area Court to Andrei Zuev, Andrei Zuev, deputy of the Penza region Legislative Assembly of the fifth convocation for the CPRF faction, that pronounced him guilty under Art. 163 of the Criminal Code, “Extortion” and sentenced to 6 years in prison, but at the same time waived the punishment because the statute of limitations had expired, said Yulia Makarova, Senior Assistant Attorney of the region in Media Relations, told PenzaNews agency.

She reminded that the public prosecutor during presentation pleaded to sentence Andrei Zuev to 9 years in Prison, Mikhail Kutyrkin to 8 years, and Oleg Gorshilin to 7.5 years.

“The sentence has not entered into force, the regional prosecutor’s office will submit an appeal proposal to it,”Yulia Makarova said.
