Penza, 31 January 2016. PenzaNews. Two Penza citizens, aged 20 and 21, are suspected in a series of car battery and sound system thefts.

The police began to trail the culprits after they received a report on a car battery theft from a VAZ-2106 parked on Udarnaya street, the press service of the Penza region Ministry of the Interior department informed PenzaNews agency.

“On the same day, the police received six more reports about similar thefts in the Oktyabrsky city area. The lawbreakers targeted Russian cars and stole batteries and sound system speakers,” they said.

The two young men were detained as suspects, and confessed to the crimes, the police added.

“The stolen goods had been seized. The two men are now facing a criminal case. The police investigate their possible relation to other crimes in the city,” the press service explained.
