Penza, 19 February 2016. PenzaNews. A Penza citizen fell victim to a fraud in an attempt to buy a microscope online through an advertising service.

“After calling the phone number listed in an add, he agreed on payment for the goods. Following the instructions of the unidentified seller, the man transferred 10,000 rubles to a banking card, but has not received the shipment,” the press service of the Penza region Ministry of the Interior department informed PenzaNews agency.

The fraud case is currently under investigation, the police clarified.

“We established that the phone number listed in the ad is registered in a different city,” the press service noted.
