According to PenzaNews reporter on the scene, an UAZ car with Russian military license plate failed to stop in time before the traffic light and ended up between a Mitsubishi Lancer and a Kia Cerato that stopped at the line in the two fast lanes.
The foreign car to the right of the UAZ sustained the most damage in the accident, with scratches along almost the whole left side. The other car sustained much less damage, with only scratches on one headlight, the bumper and the rear fender.
According to passengers of the UAZ vehicle, which is reportedly assigned to the “Leonidovka” chemical weapons elimination facility, the traffic accident could have been caused by partially faulty brakes, as only the right-side tires left any marks on the asphalt.
The traffic police is yet to investigate the incident.
