Firemen extinguish household fire on Peski island

Penza, 16 March 2016. PenzaNews. A fire has sparked in a private one-floor wooden house on Peski island in Penza in the afternoon of Wednesday, March 16. The flame damaged a total space of 100 sq. meters.

The incident has been reported at 10.51, the press service of the Penza region EMERCOM department informed PenzaNews.

“The open fire has been fully extinguished at 11.42. We are currently watering the premises to quench any coals. Nobody was injured,” they clarified.

According to the press service, the flame also damaged 30 sq. meters of the roof on the adjacent building.

“It took 26 firemen and three vehicles to extinguish the fire,” the EMERCOM reported.
