The Penza fire and emergency rescue center used a “Sprut” hydraulic tool to unblock and extract the driver of a minibus that collided with a truck on the Penza-Tambov highway, and successfully extracted others using a spinal board, the press service of the Communal Services and Civil Security Department of the region.

As a result, 11 people received varying injuries in the incident, while 7 got off with nothing more than a fright, they clarified.

According to the traffic police information, the minibus and a DAF truck crashed into each other by the Penza city at 8.00 of Saturday, March 19.

11 men who were in the minibus, ranging from born in 1961 to born in 1992, were hospitalized after the incident.

Based on currently available data, the minibus is registered in Kazakhstan, and its passengers, citizens of Uzbekistan, were en route to one of the Russian cities to earn money.

The traffic incident is currently under investigation.
