The infant was with his parents, born in 1992 and 1994, in a passenger train going from Irkutsk to Kislovodsk when he got unwell, the assistant transportation prosecutor of Penza Olga Durmanova told PenzaNews.
Also, according to her, the young couple in question that arrived to the city at 20.52 of Wednesday, April 20, are Penza residents.
“The parents asked the medical assistance center of the Penza-1 train station to call for an ER dispatch. The mother said that his [the boy’s] heart had stopped, and explained that the infant has a congenital heart disorder. The medical workers began the first aid procedures via closed-chest cardiac massage, but all was in vain. The ER dispatch also attempted to reanimate the boy while in the ER car,” she explained.
The baby boy was declared dead at 21.25, Olga Durmanova explained.
“The police are currently holding a pre-investigation check, and a general check in terms of the medical assistance center’s adherence to the citizen’s health protection legislation,” the assistant transportation prosecutor of Penza added.
