Kamenka young boy with 90% body burns passes away in hospital

Penza, 13 June 2016. PenzaNews. The 10-year-old Mikhail Oprya who received 2nd and 3rd degree burns on 90% of his body in an accident in Kamenka of the Penza region has passed away, according to the message published in the “Typical Kamenka” VK.com social network group on Monday, June 13.

“This morning, Misha Oprya became an angel. All who knew him and who did not know him greatly cared for him and wished to help him in the fight for the life. However, the 90% body burns did not allow his heart to go on,” it says.
Currently, PenzaNews has no official confirmation of the aforementioned info.
As PenzaNews reported earlier, the 10-year-old boy received the terrible burns in the evening of Friday, June 3. Reportedly, he was staying with three other boys on the shore of Atmis river on the edge of Kamenka town. The boy was standing by a motor bicycle that had its fuel tank lid unscrewed. The vehicle fell on the child, the fuel splashed on his skin and ignited from a nearby cigarette.
The incident is currently investigated under a criminal case as per Art. 118 of the Criminal Code, “Causing Severe Bodily Harm due to Negligence.”
On June 5, the boy was brought to Nizhny Novgorod via an EMERCOM Mi-8 helicopter for treatment in the Volga Federal Medical Research Center of the Russian Ministry of Health.
