Penza, 22 June 2016. PenzaNews. The police are investigating the death of a 6-year-old girl and her 38-year-old uncle who drowned in a pond by Berezovka village in the Kolyshley area of the Penza region.

The tragedy occurred at around 18.00 of Tuesday, June 21, Lyudmila Fomina, senior assistant of the head of the regional Investigative Committee for media relations, told PenzaNews.

“Reportedly, the uncle was teaching the girl how to swim, and they both drowned around 10 meters away from the shore. The police are currently working to establish all circumstances of the tragic incident,” she said.
