Penza, 25 June 2016. PenzaNews. A traffic jam was caused on the intersection of Maxima Gorkovo and Uritskovo streets in Penza after a VAZ-2114 was smashed in a collision with an Infiniti.

Nobody was killed or injured in the accident, a PenzaNews reporter informs from the accident site.

The VAZ driver got out with minor scratches: after the medics inspected the young man, he declined to be hospitalized.

The woman driving the foreign brand car explained that the VAZ driver attempted to rush across the red signal while she was making a turn on the intersection.

As a result, the Infiniti received damage on the right side, and the collision set off the car’s airbags.

The traffic police is yet to investigate the exact causes of the accident.

At the moment, the traffic jam next to the Druzhby Bridge is still blocking the way: drivers are advised to choose a detour.
