Two children rescued from burning house by Zemetchino village firefighters

Penza, 31 August 2016. PenzaNews. Rescuers brought out two children from a burning wooden private house on Naberezhnaya Street in Zemetchino village, the Penza region.

As Anna Shupilova, head of information and public relations division of the main EMERCOM department in the Penza region, informed PenzaNews, the call about the incident was received on Tuesday, August 30.
“There was a grandfather with four grandchildren in the house. The fire started, and the attic burned out. Grandfather managed to bring out two grandchildren, the third child was taken out by the rescuers, who had to look for the fourth child, a boy, born 2014, who hid in the smoke,” the agency interlocutor explained.
She added that the boy was hospitalized with carbon monoxide poisoning and leg burns.
“The rescue team consisted of six men and two pieces of equipment,” Anna Shupilova noted.
