“In March, the head of the organization allowed a man to engage in work related to the maintenance of a tractor, not having instructed him at first on occupational safety at the workplace, and appropriate training. As a result, a 19-year-old young man, seeing that the rotating parts near the shaft clogged with compost began to clean them without disconnecting the rotating shaft. As a result, he received the injury — traumatic amputation of the hand,” Lyudmila Fomina, senior assistant of the head of the regional Investigative Committee for media relations, told PenzaNews.
She said that in order to establish objective truth in the criminal case, all the necessary documentation relating to compliance with the rules of labor protection and safety measures in the specified organization was checked.
“In order to clarify all the circumstances of the accident, the officers of the State Labor Inspectorate of the Penza region were involved in the investigation. The results of forensic medical examination confirmed the findings of the investigation as to the nature, severity and mechanism of formation of the victim’s injuries,” the agency interlocutor explained.
