Penza, 6 November 2016. PenzaNews. 48 pedestrians were killed in road accidents that occurred on the territory of the Penza region since the beginning of 2016, including two people who received fatal injuries on National Unity Day, which was celebrated on Friday, November 4. This was reported to PenzaNews by the propaganda department of the regional traffic police.

“On 512 km of Nizhny Novgorod – Saratov road, a driver of a VAZ-21110 car ran over a pedestrian who was crossing the road at night without reflective elements on his outwear. As a result of the accident the pedestrian died from the injuries at the scene,” the traffic police said.

The department added that another tragic accident occurred in the Penzensky area, where a driver of a Daewoo Nexia car knocked down and killed a man who was also crossing the road in the dark without reflective elements on the outwear.
