Penza, 21 November 2016. PenzaNews. A criminal case on trade in products, that do not correspond to the safety requirements, was opened in Kuznetsk of the Penza region where 11 people were poisoned by alcohol, three of whom died. This was reported to PenzaNews by the senior assistant of the head of the regional Investigative Committee for media relations Lyudmila Fomina.

She specified that the men, born 1977, 1981 and 1986, died on Monday, November 21.

“According to the preliminary data, on Sunday, November 20, the men were in one of Kuznetsk cafes in a company of more than 10 people where they celebrated a birthday. During the evening the people consumed different alcohol-containing products. On the night of November 21, those who were in the café felt unwell and 11 people were hospitalized. Three men, despite all taken measures, died of a bad case of alcohol poisoning,” the interlocutor explained.

Lyudmila Fomina added that now incident details are investigated.

“We are conducting searches upon the criminal case during which alcohol-containing products were confiscated. In order to find out the exact cause of death we called for forensic and chemical examinations,” she said.
