Penza, 1 January 2017. PenzaNews. The mayor Victor Kuvaytsev inspected several areas of Penza on Sunday morning, January 1, in order to assess how the city is cleaned after the New Year night.

Informing him on the scope of work, the first deputy director of the municipal unitary enterprise  "Zelenoye khozyaystvo" Alexei Moshechkov drew the mayor’s attention to the fact that this year the amount of litter in the places of public celebration is three times less than in the previous years.

Victor Kuvaytsev ordered that all street celebration grounds be cleaned during the day.

“It is important to clean all places of New Year celebration and there are more than 20 of them in the city, and starting tomorrow we will begin cleaning the city itself,” he set the task.

Inspecting the city centre and Arbekovo, the mayor noted that the road was mainly cleaned from the snow.

“Unfortunately, in some places in Prospekt Stroiteley street and Prospekt Pobedy street, the abandoned trucks hinder the snow removal process but we are solving this issue,” he noted.

As it was reported by the press service of the Penza mayor’s office, Victor Kuvaytsev ordered the department of municipal services of the city to concentrate on cleaning roads from snow and on removing piles of snow along the roads.
