Penza, 15 January 2017. PenzaNews. Seven people died as the result of the collision of the minivan with the car that was going from Penza to Saratov on the night of Sunday, January 15.

"On the night of January 15, 2017, the law enforcement authorities received the report that at the 'Nizhny Novgorod — Saratov' motorway near the village Tarumovka of the Petrovsky area, the driver of the car with a semi-trailer, which was going from Penza to Saratov, collided with the minivan that was going in the oncoming lane, as the result of the collision both cars got into a ditch. As a result of the traffic accident the driver and six passengers of the minivan died," the press service of the regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Saratov region told PenzaNews.

The office added that the investigation and operational group consisting of the most experienced specialists arrived to the scene of the accident.

"The information about the dead as well as the causes and circumstances of the accident are investigated," the department said.
