This was reported by the head of information and public relations division of the main EMERCOM department in the Penza region Anna Shupilova on Thursday, January 26.

"A gas cyllinder exploded at the premises of the thermal power plant. Some buildings were partly destructed. According to preliminary information, one person was injured," the interlocutor specified.

According to her, the incident will not affect the supply of heat to Penza residents.

"The exact area of the destruction is being established," Anna Shupilova said.
