Pupil from 9th grade of school No. 71 dies after jogging in sports and recreation centre in Penza
Penza, 3 March 2017. PenzaNews. A pupil of the 9th grade of school No. 71 died after jogging in a sports and recreation centre in Penza. This was reported by the Ombudsman for Children's Rights in the Penza region Elena Stolyarova.

"Yesterday [on Thursday, March 2] at 18.00 the boy came alone to the sports centre to exercise. It was not an evening lesson of physical education. [...] The boy went jogging and suddenly felt unwell," the interlocutor explained.
She noted that the teachers present there tried to save the teenager but their efforts were useless.
"One of the teachers provided help and another called the emergency," the Ombudsman for Children's Rights said.
According to Elena Stolyarova, the emergency, which arrived fast, was not able to help the boy either.
"Workers of the sports and recreation centre said that the emergency arrived in 8 minutes but unfortunately it was too late," she specified.
Elena Stolyarova added that according to information available to her, the boy was registered in a group of school pupils with health problems.
She noted that the circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
"This issue is under my control," the Ombudsman for Children's Rights in the Penza region emphasized.
