Penza, 28 April 2017. PenzaNews. The average age of Penza region citizens equals to almost 42 years. This was reported by the governor Ivan Belozertsev when he was making a report at the 43rd regular meeting of the Legislative Assembly of the region on Friday, April 28.

"The structure of population of the region is characterized by a high share of persons over the working age," he noted.

The head of the region added that in this regard, the authorities of the Penza region look for new ways to reduce the mortality rate, to improve residents' health, as well as to increase the birth rate by means of stimulating birth of second and subsequent children.
