Penza, 17 May 2017. PenzaNews. A pilot, born 1956, was killed in a crash of an airplane "Bekas X-32" in the Zemetchinsky area of the Penza region on Wednesday morning, May 17. This was reported by the senior assistant of the Volga Federal District transportation prosecutor on media and public relations Maya Ivanova.

She specified that the tragedy occured near the village Matcherka.

"According to preliminary information, the plane was carrying out agricultural works on fields that belong to LLC 'SoyuzAgro'," the interlocutor added.

According to her, the Penza transportation prosecutor Sergei Gusev arrived to the scene of the incident.

"Prosecutor's investigation of the execution of the flight safety legislation and legality of the airspace use was organized," Maya Ivanova noted.
