Penza, 30 May 2017. PenzaNews. Criminals who spoilt about two dozens of Datsun on-DO sedans bearing the Yandex.Taxi symbols are supposed to have used black spray paint. This was testified by the "pictures" made by the unknown persons.

In most cases, they tried to paint over, partially or completely, the name of the service as well as the minimum cost of the trip, which equals to 49 rubles.

Many cars had their hoods and distinguishing chequered pattern on the roofs painted.

The criminals painted the cars irregularly: some of the cars were spoilt completely, while the others were only slightly painted.

As it was reported before, in the spring 2017, the union of professional taxi drivers of Penza claimed that they oppose the possibility of such companies as Uber, Gett or Yandex.Taxi entering the local market.

After the launch of Yandex.Taxi in May, the head of the professional union said that local taxi drivers might unite against the service and that some people, according to him, were "even ready to break windows and to burn cars".
