Penza, 19 June 2017. PenzaNews. A large tree fell down in the centre of Penza in the territory of the Belinsky public garden opposite to the Lunacharsky Regional Drama Theatre due to strong wind that hit the city on Monday evening, June 19.

As a witness told PenzaNews, a few moments before the incident, three women passed the area and the trunk that fell down almost hit one of them.

At present, the tree remains lying near the monument to the critic causing astonished glances of passers-by.

People who happened to be in the public garden on the night of the incident try to leave it as soon as possible being afraid that other trees may fall down as well.
