Passenger bus collides with truck in Penza region

Penza, 22 September 2017. PenzaNews. A passenger bus travelling along the route "Zemetchino – Penza" collided with a truck near the village of Atmis on Friday, 22 September, in the morning.

Photos and a video from the scene of the accident were posted on his Facebook profile by the press secretary of the Penza branch of PJSC "Rostelecom" Alexei Makarov, who witnessed the accident.
"I am driving to Nizhny Lomov. The bus stop 'Atmis'. Right before our very eyes a truck collided with a passenger bus 'Zemetchino – Penza'. The door of the bus was knocked out. Fortunately, no-one was killed or severely injured. They were lucky because the blow had been strong. The conductor's safety belt, unlike those of the passengers, had been fastened," he wrote.
Alexei Makarov noted that after rescuers and the ambulance had been sent for, the injured received the first aid – the wounds had been bandaged, the passengers had received water and wet wipes.
He added that three ambulances had arrived at the scene of the accident.
The propaganda department of the traffic police of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation explained that at that moment officers of the department were working at the scene of the accident.
The cause of the accident is established.
