Penza mayor orders to clean stele near Rostok monument of inscriptions made by vandals
Penza, 1 October 2017. PenzaNews. The head of the Penza administration Victor Kuvaytsev ordered to clean the stele with bás-relief, which had been installed near the Rostok monument at the Sura river embankment, of inscriptions that vandals made in black paint.
On Sunday, October 1, the mayor held an off-site meeting at the object.
It was decided to return the stele to the initial appearance by sandblast treatment.
As it was reported by the mayor's office press service, during the meeting Victor Kuvaytsev also assessed the progress of capital repairs of the embankment, where development of the lower promenade zone was in progress. At that stage, concrete slabs were laid.
Repairs of the viewing point at the Sura embankment in Penza, where the monument Rostok and the stele with bás-relief had been installed, had been carried out in 2017. In particular, the surface was cleaned by an air sand blower.
