National Guard: Hostages were released in Penza

Penza, 6 October 2017. PenzaNews. The police and workers of the National Guard of the Russian Federation conducted a successful hostage rescue operation in the centre of Penza. This was reported by the official representative of the regional department of the National Guard of the Russian Federation Denis Kostryukov.

"For the moment, the release of the hostages has been completed. The man who had kept the women was arrested," the interlocutor said.
He added that details of the incident, including the cause of the crime were clarified.
On Friday, October 6, in the evening, workers of the law-enforcement authorities cordoned off the centre of Penza, and forbade access to the Bakuninsky bridge for vehicles and pedestrians, as well as blocked approaches to the shopping centre "Muraveynik".
According to officially unconfirmed data, the special operation was conducted in a separately standing building in Bakunina street, where either a sauna or a massage parlour was located. The intruder allegedly detained three women, one of whom managed to escape.
