Penza, 10 November 2017. PenzaNews. Several windows at the ground and first floors of the LLC "Yeast factory Pezensky" were smashed as a result of a strong blast that occurred at the enterprise on Friday, November 10, in the afternoon.

As it was reported by a PenzaNews correspondent, workers of the law enforcement authorities, who will have to establish what happened, continue to work at the scene of the incident.

None of representatives of the yeast factory has given any comments so far: none of the telephone numbers stated on the enterprise's website answers and the guard does not let unauthorized persons including journalists in the territory.

The first information about a strong blast that had occurred in the centre of Penza appeared on social networks around noon.

The police and the investigation department under the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation confirmed that the incident as a result of which no one was injured had happened at the yeast factory "Penzensky".

According to unofficial information, the strong blast was caused by gas release.
