Penza, 14 November 2017. PenzaNews. A car knocked down several pedestrians near the “Krasnye Kholmy” trading and fair complex in Suvorova street in Penza on Tuesday, November 14.

The photographs posted on the social network Vkontakte show a woman and a child lying on the carriageway.

According to eyewitnesses, the cars that drove the first lane in the direction of the city centre stopped to let pedestrians cross the road while the car driving the second lane did not reduce the speed.

Due to the accident the traffic in Suvorova street in the direction of Chekhova street has been complicated.

Police officers are working at the scene of the accident.

The news agency PenzaNews does not currently have official comments from the law enforcement authorities on what has happened.
