Penza, 2 March 2018. PenzaNews. The car VAZ-21099 with a young-driver sticker on the rear windshield drove onto metal railing installed for pedestrian safety as a result of a traffic accident that occurred in Okruzhnaya street in Penza on Friday, March 2.

As a witness told PenzaNews, the accident occurred near the intersection with Kizhevatova street – in front of an unregulated pedestrian crossing.

The domestic car, whose driver was presumably a woman, broke several spans of the metal construction thereby causing damage to municipal property.

At the same time, the fence fully performed its function having prevented the car from driving onto the sidewalk – the vehicle was stopped by the low fence and could not go further.

The second participant of the accident was the driver of a Renault car. Judging by the location of the cars on the roadway, the foreign car was driving in front of the domestic car and applied the brake at some time. The girl at the wheel of the VAZ car failed to react at the right time and trying to avoid collision turned the wheel towards the sidewalk.

Circumstances of the accident are to be clarified by the traffic police.
