Penza, 5 March 2018. PenzaNews. Law enforcement authorities detained a Penza resident, born 1968, with a training grenade, due to whom an apartment building in Odesskaya street had to be cordoned off.

"On Sunday, March 4, the police received a message saying that a man with an object resembling of a grenade was located in an apartment of a building in Odesskaya street. Police officers and workers of the Federal National Guard Troops Service cordoned off the apartment building and ensured the safety of its residents. Having examined the suspicious object, bomb experts established that was an empty case of a training grenade F-1 with a fuse. It was of no danger to life and health of residents," the press service of the Federal National Guard Troops Service in the Penza region told PenzaNews.

The department added that the troublemaker had been taken to the division for further investigation.

"The training grenade was handed to an investigation team. Inspection on the fact of the incident is conducted," the press service specified.
