Penza, 16 July 2018. PenzaNews. Hurricane-force wind and a heavy downpour that raged in some areas of Penza for a short period of time, led to numerous negative consequences.

In several places in Moskovskaya street the wind brought down trees. One of them near the intersection with Gorky street was uprooted. The tree almost touched an ice-cream vendor who was in a kiosk next to it. Another tree fell at a playground near the first entrance of building No. 40 in Moskovskaya street.

Trees were also broken near the centre Doctor Bormental at 6 Volodarskogo street and Health Centre at 60 Krasnaya street. They fell on parked cars. The owners are already counting the damage.

A gust of wind knocked down a massive metal advertising construction on a concrete base near the stop TTS in Kirova street. It fell on the lawn parallel to the pavement hitting a fur tree standing next to it.

To cope with the consequences of the disaster workers of municipal services started to work promptly in Penza streets. They are sawing the fallen trees and sweeping streets removing small branches, leaves and scattered litter.
