Penza, 14 September 2018. PenzaNews. Specialists of the Fire Safety Supervising Agency are finding out causes and circumstances of the fire that occurred on the summer terrace of the restaurant Ochakovo located in the centre of Penza – in Moskovskaya street near Fontannaya square.

As reported on the website of the main EMERCOM department in the Penza region, the signal about the incident was received at 15.37 on Friday, September 14.

According to available information, 16 people and 6 units of machinery were involved in the elimination the consequences of the incident.

They quickly coped with the fire and then started pouring the building with water and demolishing smouldering structures.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

According to acting head of the main EMERCOM department in the Penza region Colonel Alexei Ryzhov, who personally coordinated the work at the scene, when the firefighters arrived the restaurant and the veranda were closed, there were no people inside, the roaster was off.

He specified that the area of the fire made up 150 square metres.

Currently, the veranda of the restaurant Ochakovo looks depressing — there are charred structures, and a smell of burning everywhere.
