Penza, 6 January 2019. PenzaNews. The driver of a Renault Logan car and its passenger died in the traffic accident involving a Volvo truck that occurred at the 596th kilometre of the federal highway M5 "Ural" in the Mokshansky area of the Penza region on Saturday, January 5. This was reported by senior assistant of the regional prosecutor for media relations Svetlana Artamonova.

"At about 18:50 the 51-year-old driver of the Renault Logan car moving towards Nizhny Lomov but lost control over the vehicle. It skidded and collided with a Volvo truck from the Republic of Belarus moving in the opposite direction. The driver of the car and the 48-year-old passenger died," the interlocutor said.

She added that the Prosecutor's Office had started investigation on the fact of the tragic road accident.
