Penza, 21 January 2019. PenzaNews. Rescuers carried out an operation for extraction of the body of a man from the Sura, which was frozen into the ice in the area of Vostochnaya Street in Penza at a distance from the shore.

According to the press service of the Penza Fire and Rescue Centre, information about the object resembling a human body, was received by the institution from the police on Saturday, January 19.

On arriving at the scene, rescuers reached the object using an inflatable boat to move on thin ice. The body frozen into the ice was about 40 metres away from the shore.

Having fixed the corpse with a safety rope, the specialists took it to the shore and handed it over to the police.

Circumstances of death of the man are clarified.
