Penza, 5 February 2019. PenzaNews. The canopy above the entrance to shopping centre Kosmos-City from the side of parking in Prospekt Stroiteley Street in Penza collapsed during its dismantling on Monday evening, February 4.

According to advertising manager of Kosmos-City Yulia Stashenko, the employees noticed threatening state of the canopy long ago, which was followed by a decision to dismantle the structure. Therefore access to that entrance to the building was limited for visitors and passers-by for safety reasons.

"There are no victims or complaints about any injuries in connection with the incident," the interlocutor of the agency said.

By now, the fallen part of the canopy was removed.

The support which it was attached to still remains.
