"According to the materials of the preliminary investigation, on the night of April 19, 2019, the man poured gasoline over a Kia Rio owned by another resident of Nizhny Lomow and set the car on fire. On making sure that the fire started, the attacker fled the scene. As a result, the foreign car burned down completely. The car parked nearby was also affected. The amount of damage exceeded 700,000 roubles," senior assistant of the regional prosecutor for media relations Svetlana Artamonova told PenzaNews.

According to her, the reason for the illegal actions was a quarrel of the malefactor with the spouse on the ground that a day before he had found correspondence between his wife and the owner of the car on the Internet.

"A criminal case was opened on the fact," the interlocutor explained.
