Penza, 12 October 2019. PenzaNews. A criminal case on signs of a crime under Part 5, Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Violation of traffic rules and rules of vehicle exploitation" was initiated on the fact of an accident in the Kamensky area of the Penza region, which resulted in the death of a man and a woman, while two other people received injuries of varying severity. This was reported by Tatyana Makhnitskaya, senior assistant of the head of the regional investigative department for media relations under the Investigative Committee of Russia.

"According to the investigation, in the evening of October 11, there was an accident involving two cars at the 218 km of the highway Tambov – Penza near the village of Kalinino, Kamensky area. An investigation team was summoned to the scene of the accident," the source of the agency explained.

She added that during the registration of the accident the driver a KamAZ following the road knocked down two civilians and two investigators of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kamensky area. As a result, the man born in 1981 and the woman born in 1983 died at the scene of the accident.

"Police investigators have been hospitalized in medical institutions, where they are provided with necessary medical care," Tatyana Makhnitskaya said.
