The body of a man born in 1940 was found after the fire had been extinguished in a 50-square-metre wooden house in Sadovaya Street in the village of Digilevka, Gorodishchensky area, Penza region, on Tuesday, October 15. This was reported by the press service of the main regional EMERCOM department.

"The incident signal came in at 3:24. Five people and two units of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire," the agency said.

The press service added that the fire had destroyed the house, as well as the outbuildings.

Causes and circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
