According to the agency, this is 4% less than in 2018, when road accidents claimed the lives of 212 people.

The number of citizens who received injuries of various degrees of severity in road accidents decreased by 1.4% - from 2 560 to 2 523 people.

In total, from January to December 2019, 1 837 road accidents were registered in the region. In 2018, there were 4% more accidents – 1 913.

Last year, 205 accidents were caused by drivers in a state of intoxication, and 136 accidents – by pedestrians violating traffic rules.
